I need opinions, I'm confused (long but 10 points for the opinion I most benefited from)?
I’m 19 and I’ve met this guy online (we’re from different countries) when I was 15. (we’re the same age) At first I hated him, he just seemed so egoistic and was being a smart-ass. We first met on a forum. A while after, we started talking on messenger. I still disliked him and only talked to him out of boredom (this was during summer vacation). Another while after, I had a crush on him (how ironic). A week during the crush, I told him I loved him (I only THOUGHT I did). He didn’t know what to say so he said "Me too, sweetie" and just acted like he liked me back. After two months I realized it wasn’t really love that I had for him, it was only infatuation. So I kinda gave a hint about that…so he was really quiet the next day (he was thinking about what I said) then the day after he said we’d better just be friends. I agreed. Though somewhere inbetween those two months he was talking about his 2 years younger ex-girlfriend which he seemed still in-love with. I felt hurt and cried for 2 hours outside in the cold weather listening to a sad song (drama-queen much, yeah?). And he talked to me in the same day about his other past girlfriends too.

Anyway, after that we were just friends. We used to talk for hours (sometimes up to 5 continuous hours). A few months after, in the summer, he felt infatuated with me right before he went to another city to work for the summer. During he was away he wanted to send me at least 3 SMS a day, but after sending me a couple I told him to stop cause I didn’t want my parents to find out. 5 days after being in the other city, he felt sick and had to go back to his home town.
During the summer up until the end of january we were together. I kept feeling hurt through-out it cause he was acting kinda cold while I was trying to make us closer. Just a few days before valentine’s, he told me he has a date on valentine’s (a girl that has had a crush on him for 2 years) he said he wanted to give her a chance, and that there is no such thing as an internet relationship. I agreed that an internet relationship wouldn’t work but I just didn’t wanna let him go. (on a side note - the day before I was thinking he doesn’t like me anymore. And that day I asked him if he still liked me and that’s when he said he has a date.) I tried to act like I was ok and we just continued talking normally like friends (because I just needed to talk to him, he was also my best friend). Though in real I was so hurt. My eyes kept tearing up every 2 minutes. I couldn’t eat. I couldn’t sleep. That lasted for 2 days then I said to myself I can’t live like this! And I went out to a party with some relatives and I felt much better. But for about the next 3 months I still felt hurt and cried at times. Then one day I screamed and cried my heart out in the shower and I stopped crying much ever since. (noting that I was a spoiled cry baby that cried about anything)

He broke up with that girl in 2 months cause she was too clingy. (well I was clingy too, so lesson learned). We have been good friends and now best friends (during this time recently he’d call me "beautiful" which he didn’t do before). Now he’s found himself a girlfriend at his college. He showed me a video of her..childish (like me) brown haired (like me) a bit dark skinned (like me) wears glasses (like me)..though that can be a complete coincidence. He seemed like he loved her when he talked about her.
I told him about how this sweet guy I like made me cry out of his sweetness. He told me to stay away from that guy cause he’s lying. I told him I know he’s telling the truth, and that I’ve learned my lesson from him (to not trust guys very easily). And for the first time..he apologized for hurting me before…what I wanted to hear for so long! He finally matured.
Now, the thing is, he tells me stuff like "man, I really needed to talk to you" because I make him feel "relaxed". He tells me he ‘wubs’ me. We spoke together by voice a couple days ago + webcam cause we haven’t in such a long time. I was shy on webcam cause I wasn’t prepared for anyone to see me. He said I shouldn’t be shy around him about these things, and "you’re perfect to me anyway" and that we’ve known each other for so long that "we should be married by now". And he told me to say that I love him, cause he wanted to hear it as it gave him "a warm feeling". I told him he has a girlfriend to tell him that. He said "mm, yea", "it’s not the same when you say it". Oh, he also said he wanted to kiss and bite my neck.
Having that said, he loves to tease everyone. He enjoys it too much. He’s a master at teasing, too. He does it so well.

So what I’m confused about is, why is he saying those things to me? Some sound like just teasing but some sound truthful. Does he mean those things in a ‘best friendly’ way or what? I just don’t get how he feels..
I don’t want to be with him as I know we won’t work, there are just too many obstacles. But I do still love him.
So any insights?
Actually it is kinda hard for us cause we’re from different countries, cultures, religions, etc. and my mom hates him and he knows it.
Oh I left out something important. For a while recently he’s been calling me his sister. He hasn’t called me that in the last 3 weeks.

This is going to be hard to hear, but it sounds to me like he is just using you for his "back-up girl". When he isn’t happy in his current relationship or is lonely he becomes infatuated with you but other times he has no use for you.

I realize that you have feelings for this guy but love isn’t supposed to be that hard. If he REALLY loved you, he would do everything possible to treat you well and he is not doing that. You deserve to be treated as if you are someone’s FIRST CHOICE, not the alternate. Let him go and find someone who will put you first.

You and this guy have obviously built up a massive connection, but i’d be reluctant to say you could consider it a serious relationship, or even assume you are actually in love with him, mainly because you’ve never met. unless you are planning to meet, you should give him up because all he’s doing is holding you back. you’ll be upset and it will take you a while to do so but it has to be done, because otherwise you’re just going to keep xholding on to this fantansy of him being so perfect. I’d be wary again because you’ve never met him, he may not be who he says he is online etc.. i don’t mean to be cynical but i just can’t help but feel you should try and meet someone that lives nearby and either give up this guy completely, or meet up with him and see how it is.

You should focus on the relationships you have with people around you, he was right when he said internet relationships don’t work. From the sounds of it your first impressions of him were the right ones, I don’t think he takes the relationship he has with you seriously, he obviously doesn’t realize how much he depends of you ‘company’ until it’s gone. It’s great that your friends with him but a proper relationship will never develop over a webcam.
You need to tell him straight, let him know you really care for him but that you fed up of being messed around. If he really likes you he wont let you go and if you wanna give the relationship ago, and it makes you happy, then do it. But, don’t pin all your hopes on a boy who you’ve never actually met.
Your still young and have plenty of time to find the right guy.
Also, it’s good to gte all your emotions out by drying but don’t let it ruin who you are!#

I haven’t seen the DVD you are refering to, but during my time selling videos and DVDs for a national entertainment chain, I noticed that "extended versions" of TV movies (or even selcted episodes from TV series) usually refers to the feature film equivalent of "deleted scenes". The difference being that they are restored to their original position in the movie, rather than being accessable seperately. It is impossible to tell until you’ve watched it, how much more you’re getting. It may only be one scene lasting only a few seconds, or it may several scenes, totalling several minutes. Whether you will notice depends on how well you remember the movie from its original airing.
As a rule, the scenes that are deleted are done so to keep the film within the scheduled block of time allowed by the network, and they pick scenes that have little or no effect on the viewer’s ability to follow the story.
I would recommend renting it first to see whether you feel it’s worth it to add to library permanently.

David Lynch- Only he knows what is going on in his movies(at least the ones he’s made in the last 13 years). I’ve only seen The Elephant Man and Blue Velvet, and I’ve seen clips from some of his other films such as Mulholland Drive and Empire.

I feel like his movies have alot of implicit meanings and that you have to pay alot of attention to fully understand what is going on. I think thats one of the major characteristics in Auteur theory, the director is responsible for the creative meanings in his movies.

When I think of Auteur, aside of the names you mentioned, I think of Robert Altman, Jonathan Demme, and sometimes, Steven Spielberg.

Congrats to the Colts. What did I think of the game?
In order to keep this post from being deleted, I went ahead and gave it that name when basically I wanted to share some thoughts about Sundays Jets Colts game.

First of all Congrats to Indy they are a great team and deserve to be an early 4 point favorite over the Saints.

The Jets had a nice lead right before the half. Manning and staff did a great job of making adjustments at halftime. Thats what the good teams do. They knew they were getting beat and props to them for making the right adjustments.

Makes me wonder if the Jets wouldve put up at least 7 more points had the most gifted kick-returner/RB Leon Washington played in this game. He’s always good for a kick return for a TD in an important game. At the least the Jets wouldve had better field position. Kris Jenkins is greatly missed as well. The Big run stopping Nose Tackle makes the opponents run nonexistent and makes the Ends so much better around him. The pass-rush wouldve been a lot better in the 2nd half as opposed to no pass rush at all after halftime. The best pass rusher Shawn Ellis played the game with his hand wrapped up and wasn’t able to use it at all which makes it hard to make a tackle. (He probably shouldn’t have played Sunday and is having surgury after the game).His spot would’ve went to Mr Bust Vernon Gholston.

It sure was nice to see Sanchez play mistake free football throughout the playoffs. He will take this season and learn a lot from it.

The Jets now have a great foundation to build on for years to come and will only get better each season if everyone sticks around.

Overall, the Colts were the better team and deserve to be playing 1 more time.

@ Frum: You seem to be a very knowledgable football fan. My thoughts exactly about the Jets. Everything from their decision in drafting Brick and Mangold adding Fanaca to them being to conservative in the second half. That Manning drive to end the half was killer. Youre the type of cat Id play fantasy football with if ya played. I like competition.

I’m actually a huge Bengals fan, so you can imagine how pissed I was when they lost back to back games to the Jets to end their season, but even after those losses, I was still pullin for the Jets. They have a great, young team and no one expected them to make it as far as they did, especially with a rookie QB, so like you said, all you can do is tip your cap to Manning and the Colts and focus on next season.

After the first half, I thought the Jets had that game. I felt like they lost the momentum near the end of the 2nd quarter though, when they settled for a FG and then Manning drove it right back up the field for a TD, but I still thought they were gonna come out with more energy in the 2nd half. It seemed like they were playing too conservatively in the 2nd half because I think they felt like they were in a good position to win it if they kept the score close. But they should have passed it more or at least mixed in some more of the wildcat formation. I felt like they only got that lead because they were being aggressive in the 1st half. I know they’re a great running team, but when the run isn’t working, you gotta mix it up, especially when you’re losing in the 4th. They still played well though, and this is gonna be a great learning experience for Sanchez and a lot of the younger players on the team. As inconsistent as he was in the regular season, I thought he played great throughout the playoffs and that’s a great sign for a young QB. I have a feeling they’re gonna be a good team for years to come. They obviously have a great defense, but I thought their smartest move was investing in the offensive line a few years back. Taking the two first rounders in 06, and then picking up Faneca in FA made it a lot easier for all of the offensive players they’ve picked up after that to make an immediate impact. I’d like to see them get another WR and strengthen that secondary over the offseason. Revis is probably the best corner in the league but he needs help against teams like the Colts, because Manning throws to whoever’s open, so it’s not like they could shut down their passing game by taking out their #1 receiver. I don’t know what happened to Kerry Rhodes. He was Pro Bowl material a few years ago but he doesn’t seem like the same player. Yeah, it’s too bad they didn’t have Washington and Jenkins. Brad Smith is a good returner, but he doesn’t have that lightening quickness. And Jenkins just clogs up that middle, which makes it a lot easier to focus on stopping the pass. Either way, the Jets had a great run, and with the Patriots steadily getting worse, it looks like the Jets have a good shot at running that division in the years to come.

I’ve never played fantasy football, but I love football so you can imagine how disappointing it’s been being a Bengals fan all of these years..lol You’re very knowledgeable yourself, and I was really feelin your analysis of the game, and I give you props for giving it up to the Colts. I’m the same way. You lose, you lose. Nothing you can do but give it up to the better team. I have a lot of friends who are Jets fans so I was glad they were classy enough to not rub those losses in my face..lol All of them are diehard Jets fans too, which is why I was still pullin for them. And I was really happy for Sanchez. It didn’t seem like anyone was sold on him, but after this playoff performance, I think it’s safe to say the Jets are finally set at the QB position. This is gonna do a lot for his confidence. I can’t wait for next season already and this one’s not even over yet..lol
